The terms that keep things fair.
Last updated September 1, 2026.
1. What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of Cogent, the agent orchestration platform. By signing up or using the service, you agree to them. If you're using Cogent for a company, the company agrees too.
2. Your account
You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep credentials private, don't share them, and tell us immediately if you suspect a breach. You must be at least 18 and have the authority to agree to these terms on behalf of any organization you register.
3. What we provide
We provide the software described on this site: tools to connect data sources, design agent workflows, run them, and review the results. We work to keep it available, reliable, and secure, but we don't guarantee that automated runs will never fail. That's why recovery and checkpoints exist.
4. What you may not do
• Resell, sublicense, or lease the service without written agreement.
• Use it to violate laws, regulations, or anyone's rights.
• Attempt to disrupt, probe, or undermine our infrastructure.
• Build competing products from our service or copy our workflows, templates, or documentation.
• Scrape the service or its customer data.
5. What you own
You own your workflows, your data, and your models. We license the software to you, and you license us the right to process your data to run the service. We don't claim ownership of anything you build with it.
6. Payment
Plans are billed monthly or annually as chosen at checkout. Features are tied to the plan you're on. We don't add hidden fees. If a payment fails, we'll pause upgrades and remind you before anything else happens.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Cancel anytime from your billing page. Annual plans are refunded pro-rata for the unused period within 14 days of cancellation. Monthly plans end at the end of the paid period. No lock-in, no cancellation fees.
8. Service changes
We may add, change, or retire features. Retiring a feature we've committed to in your plan comes with 30 days' notice via email. We don't quietly break what you count on.
9. Liability
We provide the service as-is and to the extent permitted by law; our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before a claim. We're not liable for indirect damages, lost revenue, or data loss from events outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits rights you can't waive by law.
10. Termination
Either side can end the agreement. You can delete your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or present a legal or security risk, with notice where reasonable. Upon termination, your data is deleted per our Privacy policy.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll email you before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
12. Contact and law
These terms are governed by the laws of [State/Country].

Legal still reads like legal.
