How Cogent handles your data.

What we collect
We collect the things you give us and the things needed to run the service.
• Account details. Name, work email, company, and role when you sign up or book a demo.
• Workspace data. Anything you store in Cogent: workflows, agent configurations, connection settings, run history, logs.
• Usage data. How the product is used: runs triggered, steps completed, errors, page views. Nothing from inside your workflows is read for this.
What we don't do
• We don't sell your data. Ever.
• We don't train models on your data.
• We don't read your workflows to improve our marketing.
• We don't share workspace data with third parties except the sub-processors listed in our DPA.
How we use what we collect
To run the service, keep it secure, and tell you what changed. Examples: authenticating your account, delivering runs, sending service notices, and responding to support requests.
We use your usage data in aggregate to make the product faster and more reliable. Aggregated means it can't be traced back to you.
Where your data lives
Your data sits in the region you choose. US, EU, or APAC. We never move it across regions without your say-so. Details under your workspace settings.
How long we keep it
• You delete it, we delete it. Workspace data is removed within 30 days of deletion, confirmed in writing.
• Account data is kept while your account is active and removed within 60 days of cancellation.
• Anonymized usage data can stay. It's not yours anymore once it can't point back to you.
Security
Encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Access to customer data is restricted to the people who need it to run the service, and every access is logged. More in our Security & Trust section.
Cookies
We use a small set of cookies for functionality (session, auth) and a small set for basic analytics. No cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies. You can block all non-essential ones and the site keeps working.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to fix or delete it, and export your workspace anytime.
